Priti Lathia
The Chelmsford Art Society is presenting Priti Lathia at their monthly meeting who will demonstrate in mixed media. The artist's paintings are inspired by places she has visited or still life subjects that have inspired her. Her work has a vibrant, colorful and joyous feeling. She especially enjoys working in watercolors and oils. Also, an art teacher, she teaches students from grade 1 to High School at St. Marks Church in Westford, MA in several mediums.
Her work has been seen in many area shows where she has won many prizes. Some of her paintings will be displayed at Summer Place Retirement Residence during the months of January and February. On Saturday afternoon February 25 at 2 PM, the artist will give a demonstration in mixed media. Her work may also be seen on her blog - http://priti-fine-art.blogspot.com/ |

Gillian Frazier

The Chelmsford Art Society is presenting Gillian Frazier who will critique one or two pieces each of the artists' art work. She has worked as an artist and teacher all her life. She has a BS in Education and has studied at several schools including Tufts, the school of the Museum of Fine Arts, and MA College of Art in Boston.
Frazier has been in many group shows and has had several one woman shows . Most recently the Art 3 Gallery, Manchester, NH. She has taught art at several schools, including the Bedford Public Schools, the DeCordova Museum School, Lincoln, MA and Monserrat Colllege of Art, Beverly, MA.
The artist experiments in a variety of subjects and themes. Her work shows a mastery of knowledge in both the esthetic and technical. She maintains a studio at Western Ave. Studios, 122 Western Ave. Lowell, MA.

Mary Rose O'Connell
The Chelmsford Art Society is featuring artist, Mary Rose O'Connell, who will demonstrate Oil Painting a Floral Still Life on November 29, 2011. A classically trained artist, she works in various genres and has won may awards.
The artist has studied for many years with portrait painter Mary Minifie, a modern master of the Boston School. Mary Rose's work shows the benefit of a strong grounding in draftsmanship. This style of painting is done in natural light and is influenced by the beautiful colors of the impressionists. Recently she was featured at the Whistler House in Lowell, MA with her wonderful paintings. At the reception there were many admirers who were able to meet the artist. O'Connell is a juried member of the North Shore Artist Association in Gloucester and the Lowell Art Association-artist member (The Whistler House Museum). She has also received awards from Chelmsford Art Society shows.

Donna Berger

Chelmsford Art Society presents Donna Berger with a talk and demonstration on illustration and design. Donna is an award-winning illustrator, artist, graphic designer and marketing consultant with studio space at 17 Wilson Street in Chelmsford Center.
She creates illustrations and designs for picture books and children's publications, and design and marketing materials for business clients using a digitizing tablet and creative software on a Macintosh computer in addition to working with traditional drawing.

Tom Gill -Impressionistic Realism

The Chelmsford Art Society is featuring artist, Tom Gill, who will demonstrate acrylic painting on September 27, 2011. A renowned area artist, Gill specializes in "impressionistic realism". In his entertaining style, he will reveal how his works are characterized by an intensity of color through vigorous brushwork and boldness of execution.
Gill was trained at the Art Institute of Boston. His work has been shown among other places at The Brush Gallery and The Concord Art Association. During the summer he was featured at the Whistler House in Lowell, MA with his paintings of the Lowell Folk Festival which depicted many of the fun filled activities. For this show, he gave an entertaining talk and demonstration. There was also a reception where many met the artist. Tom Gill maintains a studio at the Western Avenue Studios, 122 Western Ave., Lowell, MA. where he also teaches. The Chelmsford Art Society will meet on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 7:00 PM at the Adams Library, 25 Boston Rd., Chelmsford, MA. Free, everyone welcome.
